Father's Day DIY Gift

I love being able to show someone how easy it is to do what I do.  It really is!  I'm going to tell you how I made these picture blocks for my father last Father's Day.  I only have the picture of the complete project, sorry.  I love Pinterest and get more ideas from there than I will ever be able to do, I saw this project pinned from here.

What you will need to complete this:

  • 2x4 board cut into 4 pieces each 3 1/2 " long
  • Black paint
  • Modge Podge
  • 4 Pictures
  • Sandpaper
  • Letters
Step 1- Paint the 4 pieces of wood black and let them dry.
Step 2- Sand the edges and corners of the wood blocks to round them and distress paint some.
Step 3- Cut your pictures to fit the blocks.  I cut mine with a paper cutter and made them just a little bit smaller so you could see the wood around the edges.  Then I used a corner rounder punch on them.
Step 4- Modge Podge the pictures to the painted blocks.
Step 5- I printed the letters "PAPA" on my computer in black and cut around them then Modge Podged them on top of the pictures.  This may need 2 coats.
Thats it! and here's the finished product....

Make it yours by changing the paint color or using a word other than papa.  Have fun creating!!  Thank you for visiting, I hope you can come again.
