Hate it? I don't know. I'm hoping it's just the perfectionist in me. It's growing on me I guess. Either way it's a cute addition to a garden with a plant on it or a hostess gift for that 4th of July party you'll be invited to. I really love benches lately, how about you? Thanks for visiting!! <div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMfaYgamFiLfAFFMCssd7R_cstWCslP46U0nNgRS6IwUVrU1VZcaVi0qQ53zLYjYE2Wt2tj6Rq3cqsU7D_fFHrOKJ4k8uoWWHr2xzYznXf_295IDoA1vZoBnglqBXGpf2iyDMVb86sciE/s640/blogger-image--216842024.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMfaYgamFiLfAFFMCssd7R_cstWCslP46U0nNgRS6IwUVrU1VZcaVi0qQ53zLYjYE2Wt2tj6Rq3cqsU7D_fFHrOKJ4k8uoWWHr2xzYznXf_295IDoA1vZoBnglqBXGpf2iyDMVb86sciE/s640/blogger-image--216842024.jpg"></a></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02956712094990110590noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2517294397391027210.post-475870229847291802013-06-05T19:02:00.001-07:002013-06-05T19:07:06.843-07:00Weekend workI actually finished 2 new pieces this weekend! YAY! The name of my business "All in a Day Creations" came about long ago. I'm famous for waiting until the last minute to do everything!! I found this blog <a href="http://bec4-beyondthepicketfence.blogspot.com/?m=1" target="_blank">Beyond The Picket Fence</a> and LOVE everything she creates! So that's where I got my inspiration for a lot of pieces lately. This is one of them<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9_nTaHf5Ud8Ur-bp2vNXfD_gFdSGEW2zI55_ncbZPFjlc-n5K0ikySJbOedLCHPdBNsmuqEatVYVnuKtt9YnNtuAPnIhFJqkcqAkAJ-gjBijSoZ8FdLhM4NUmmHjnyHcE7wBvr0Rll3E/s640/blogger-image-1388037015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9_nTaHf5Ud8Ur-bp2vNXfD_gFdSGEW2zI55_ncbZPFjlc-n5K0ikySJbOedLCHPdBNsmuqEatVYVnuKtt9YnNtuAPnIhFJqkcqAkAJ-gjBijSoZ8FdLhM4NUmmHjnyHcE7wBvr0Rll3E/s640/blogger-image-1388037015.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Originally I wasn't sold on the 2 different colors for the top. One of the pieces had the original whitewash from its old barn days and I loved how it looked. So I went with it and now I just love it. What do you think?</div>

It really is! I'm going to tell you how I made these picture blocks for my father last Father's Day. I only have the picture of the complete project, sorry. I love Pinterest and get more ideas from there than I will ever be able to do, I saw this project pinned from <a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/45797301/personalized-gift-photo-blocks-mom-dad?ref=cat3_gallery_4" target="_blank">here</a>.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
What you will need to complete this:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>2x4 board cut into 4 pieces each 3 1/2 " long</li>
<li>Black paint</li>
<li>Modge Podge</li>
<li>4 Pictures </li>
<li>Sandpaper</li>
<li>Letters</li>
</ul>
Step 1- Paint the 4 pieces of wood black and let them dry.<br />
Step 2- Sand the edges and corners of the wood blocks to round them and distress paint some.<br />
Step 3- Cut your pictures to fit the blocks. I cut mine with a paper cutter and made them just a little bit smaller so you could see the wood around the edges. Then I used a corner rounder punch on them.<br />
Step 4- Modge Podge the pictures to the painted blocks.<br />
Step 5- I printed the letters "PAPA" on my computer in black and cut around them then Modge Podged them on top of the pictures. This may need 2 coats.<br />
Thats it! and here's the finished product....<br />
<br />
